MAX WEDGE THROTTLE ARMS
ABSOLUTELY THE FINEST REPLICA EVER PRODUCED. Accurate right down to the
copyright logo stamped on the sides and the correct plating used by Carter in
the 60’s.
Simply remove the throttle arms from ANY Carter, Edelbrock or Webber produced
“AFB” (or AVS if you wish) Neatness IS important especially on the removal. You
should use a set of nice sharp files to debur the shaft and bring the slotted
portion of the shaft as close to the original shape as is possible, and slip
these over the shaft, space out, center and either “tack” in place or brad down
like the original Carburetors were done.
Nothing gives you the exact feel and look on a cross ram application as these
arms do. They place the spring hole in the exact place for the exact “feel” in
the tension of the springs in the accelerator pedal, and they locate the ball
for the linkage in the exact height and center as original so as to ensure wide
open throttle, and the correct timing as the arm and rod sweep through the
unnatural arc they are required to do.
NO RESTORATION OR RACE APPLICATION WILL BE COMPLETE WITHOUT THESE ARMS. You
can fudge on the carburetors, and hide the air horn under the air cleaner, and
you can move the fuel inlet to the opposite side.
(THIS IS A SERVICE WE ALSO SUPPLY AS WELL AS COMPLETE CARBURETOR RESTORATION
AND BOTH STREET AND STRIP CALIBRATION) Just call for more information, virtually
anytime, at 352-468-1353
It’s just impossible to deal with Chevy throttle arms.
